Haikou Meilan International Airport, operational from 1999, is located in Lingshan Town, Meilan District, Haikou City, Hainan Province. It is a modern 4E-class civil airport, equipped with the world's advanced Class II navigation lighting system, communication and navigation equipment and other service facilities. It meets large aircraft such as Boeing 747-400 take-off and landing requirements at full load.
